A mains styling appliance for personal care. Ships from Poland, inside the EU, so there is no customs clearance and nothing to pay on arrival.

What it actually is

A curler with nothing to clamp.

You hold it beside a section, the airflow draws the hair in and winds it round a 32 mm barrel, and you let go when the curl has set. There is no clamp and nothing that spins.

Two directions

A left tip and a right tip. Alternating them is what stops a head of curls falling into one flat shape on one side.

Cooler than a wand

Three levels topping out at about 105 °C, against the 200 °C a plate styler reaches. Gentler, and slower to set. We would rather you knew that before you bought it.

Ships from inside the EU

It leaves a warehouse in Poland, so there is no customs clearance, no handling fee and nothing to pay when it arrives.

What is in the box

Four heads, a glove and the handle.

Each head and what it is for.
  • LEFT TIPWinds one way. Use it on one side of the head so the curls turn away from the face.
  • RIGHT TIPWinds the other way. Alternating the two is the difference between curls and a single flat wave.
  • ROUND BRUSHVolume at the roots and a soft bend at the ends. The everyday head.
  • STRAIGHTENING BRUSHSmooths a section as the air passes through it. Not a plate straightener and will not behave like one.
  • GLOVEIn the box because the tips stay hot after the air stops. Use it.
  • HEATThree levels on a dial: about 50 °C, 80 °C and 105 °C.

How to use it

Dry hair, small sections, hold and release.

  1. Start on dry hair. This is a curler, not a dryer. Damp hair will not take a shape at 105 °C and you will stand there a long time finding that out.
  2. Take sections no wider than the barrel. Hold the tip upright beside the section and let the air pull the hair in. Bigger sections do not curl, they just get warm.
  3. Hold, release, leave it alone. Let the curl cool in your hand before you touch it. Swap to the other tip for the other side of your head, and put the glove on before you change a head.

The appliance has an ionisation function. The manufacturer says it reduces static. We have not tested that, and we are not going to tell you it makes hair healthier, shinier or easier to style, because we have no evidence for any of it.

Straight answers

What this is, and what it is not.

Listings for curlers like this one promise salon results, hair repair and protection for coloured or damaged hair. There is no evidence for that, so it is not on this page. What AirCurl is: a mains air curler with four heads that runs cooler than a plate styler and shapes hair without gripping it between heated surfaces.

Before you use it: this is a mains appliance that gets hot. Never use it in the bath or shower, near a basin full of water, or with wet hands. Unplug it after every use and never leave it plugged in unattended. The tips stay hot after the airflow stops, so use the glove supplied and let them cool before you change them. Keep it away from children. Do not cover the air inlet while it is running, and do not use it if the cord or plug is damaged. The full instructions and warnings are in the manual in the box.

Questions

Before you order.

Will the curls hold all day?

On fine to medium hair that takes a shape easily, usually. On thick or very straight hair, often not. 105 °C is well below what a hot wand runs at, and holding power is exactly what you give up for the gentler heat. We would rather say that here than read it in a return.

Can I use it on wet hair?

No. Start on dry hair. It is a curler, not a dryer, and damp hair will not hold a shape at this temperature.

How is this different from the AirStyle?

AirCurl is built around curling: two directional tips, a glove, and a cooler 105 °C maximum. AirStyle has a drying nozzle and two brushes as well, and runs hotter, to about 140 °C. Pick AirCurl if you mostly want curls and waves on hair you have already dried.

Does it come with an EU plug?

Yes. The supplier's sheet mentions 110 V in one field, but the unit sold here is the European 220 V version with an EU plug, and it ships from Poland.

What does delivery cost and how long does it take?

Delivery is free everywhere we ship in the European Union and the price includes VAT. Current dispatch and transit times are on our shipping page. We would rather point you at the live figure than print one here that goes stale.

What if I do not get on with it?

You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind for any reason, under your EU right of withdrawal, and a 2-year conformity guarantee on top. Email contact@zaviomarket.com and we will send the return details.

Nothing here yet, and we would rather show you an empty section than fill it. Nobody has had this one from us long enough to write about it, and we have not imported anything from the supplier's listing for it. Reviews appear here automatically, whatever they say.
